10 Minute Broccoli and Beef


This one’s so easy we can barely call it a recipe. But yes, at times even we can’t be bothered to spend longer than 10 minutes in the kitchen. This beef & broccoli comes together in a jiffy but it certainly does not compromise on flavor! Buy yourself some good quality steak and your meal will be even more enjoyable. And please, please don’t forget the peanuts. You need that extra crunch in your life, for sure!

Recipe for two
○ 300g (flank) steak ○ 1 head of broccoli or 200g longstem broccoli ○ 1 handful of peanuts ○ 3 tablespoons oyster sauce ○ 1 spring onion stalk ○ 1 large minced garlic clove ○ 200g white rice

Cook the rice according to the instructions or in a ricecooker. Slice the steak (across the grain) into thin strips. Chop the broccoli into small florets, or if using longstem, chop them in half. Boil the broccoli for about 2 minutes then drain. In a large wok with some vegetable oil, heat the garlic and spring onion for about 30 seconds. Next, add in the steak. After a minute, add the broccoli and the spoon over the oyster sauce. Stirfry on high heat for two minutes, then add in the peanuts. After about another minute you are done. Remove from the heat and serve over your rice.
